Dear Parents,
School Sports Day 14th August
(Reply Slip)
Thank you for your patience. After accessing the current situation, we have decided to hold our school's annual sports day on 14th August, 2010 (Saturday) from 8.30am – 12.30pm, at our school compound. All children in the 4 classes (Tangerine, Apple, Watermelon and Student Care) will be involved in at least two sports events. In addition to the sports events, Apple and Watermelon class children will also be involved in a grand march pass at the opening ceremony of our sports day. You are invited to grace this function and witness your children's participation in fun-filled events. There will also be parent-child events to encourage family bonding and you are welcomed to sign-up.
Two rehearsals have been scheduled on 4th August (Wed) and 12th August (Thu) both starting at 9.00am. We hope you can send your child to school before 9am on these days.
With this change of date, we again need your consent for your children to participate in the school sports day and be involved in the events. The events are designed with the child's developmental stages in mind and are age appropriate. The school will put in place as many safety precautions as we possibly can anticipate. All our teachers are trained and certified first aiders. Your child's attendance will also affect the team formation hence we appreciate your early reply.
If your child is participating in the sports events, please dress him/her in the following coloured T-shirts based on their class, comfortable running shorts, socks and sports shoes (no slippers please!).
| Tagerine Class | -> Orange T-shirt with any dark coloured shorts | |
| Apple Class | -> Green T-shirt with any dark coloured shorts | |
| Watermelon Class | -> Red T-shirt with any dark coloured shorts | |
| Student Care | -> Yellow T-shirt with any dark coloured shorts |
We seek your cooperation to ensure that the dress code is strictly adhered to. This is to facilitate identification and administration of children.
Please note the following :
Children are to bring in their own water bottles, which should be clearly labelled with your child's full name. These are to be handed over to the class teachers upon arrival. A water dispenser will be available for re-filling the bottles when necessary. There will be provision of water for parents and visitors at the Drink Station.
In the event of rain, please come to school with your child. The decision to continue or postpone the event will be made on the day itself.
Please indicate your attendance and your consent for your child's participation in the sports event and the grand march pass in the attached reply slip.
Please let us have your reply by 25th June, 2010 (Fri). We appreciate your early reply as the teachers need to arrange the children into their respective groups for the events and grand march pass.
Yours sincerely,
Maria Seow
Principal
