Montessori Seminar For Parents - Montessori 101
The Montessori Method advocates that education should be for independence, liberty and empowerment of the child, focusing on the development of the human personality.
A successful Montessori education requires strong parental support and participation. Having basic knowledge about The Montessori Method will help parents understand the behaviours of their children. Knowing some concepts behind the materials and their usage will aid parents prepare their home environment, extending the benefits of a Montessori education.
Come and experience the world of Montessori through a 1-hour workshop with Educationist Ms. Martha Monahan and gain some insights into your child’s world. The seminar will commence at 2:30 pm and a repeat session will start at 4:30 pm.
The Speaker of this Parent Seminar is Ms. Martha Monahan
Executive Director of Northeast Montessori Institute (NMI).
Ms. Monahan has been training Montessori teachers for 24 years both in the US and internationally. Ms. Monahan has presented workshops, lectures and seminars on a wide variety of topics to equally varied
audiences all over the world. She is the past Chairman of the American Montessori National Conference.
As the Consulting Principal of Halifax Montessori Childcare, Ms. Monahan is proud and excited to present the Montessori philosophy and practices to interested parents. She warmly invites your participation.
