2.30pm – 3.30pm : “Montessori 101” – the basics of Montessori, concepts and usage of materials. Parent Seminar conducted by Ms. Martha Monahan, Consulting Principal -Halifax Montessori & Director-The Northeast Montessori Institute, USA.

3.30pm – 4.30pm : “Common Childhood Infection” – signs and symptoms, warning signs and precautions to take. Parent Seminar conducted by Dr Lim Kwang Hsien, Paediatrician at Kinder Clinic (Mt Alvernia Hospital). Dr. Lim is also the parent of a preschooler at our school.

4.30pm – 5.30pm : Repeat of “Montessori 101”

3) Children‛s Art & Craft Activities
Bring along your child/children as our teachers have planned Art & Craft
Activities to entertain them.

Our Deepavali Night celebration has been changed to 9th Oct (Fri) 6.00pm – 9.00pm (instead of 13th Nov, 2009).
17th Oct, 2009 (Sat) is now a gazetted public holiday.
Our 2nd Open House/Parent Seminar which has been scheduled for 17th Oct (Sat), will be changed to another date to be announced later.
15th & 16th Nov, 2009 are no longer gazetted public holidays.
Our Father's Day Breakfast will now be held on 18th Jun (Thu) 8.00am – 9.00am. Only fathers of Playgroup and Nursery children need to attend this event.
Kindergarten and BASC children will celebrate with their fathers on 20th Jun (Sat) 8.00am - 9.00am, before they are released from their night camp.
The previously announced Father's Day Breakfast event on 12th Jun (Fri) is now cancelled in lieu of the above arrangements.

If you anticipate spending more than 10mins in the school, please park at a nearby car park lot instead of parking along the double yellow line outside the school premise.
When parking outside the school premise, please ensure you are not blocking the vehicle in front or behind you as most parents are in a rush.
Please refrain from sounding the car horn as it terrifies the children.


	Holiday Announcement Please be reminded that the school will be CLOSED on 10th Apr (Fri) & 20h Apr, 2009 (Mon) for Good Friday Holiday and Teachers‛ Training respectively. We will also be closed on 1st May (Fri) & 9th May, 2009 (Sat) for May Day and Vesak Day holidays.
	13th Apr, 2009 : Easter Party We are having an Easter party on 13th Apr (Mon) from 10.00am – 12noon. There will be activities relating to Easter eggs so the children may come in Bunny -theme apparels. The school‛s program will resume after 12noon.

	24th Apr, 2009 : Excursion - Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom @ Sentosa We are organising an excursion to the Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom at Sentosa on 24th Apr (Fri) 9.00am – 12.30pm to compliment the school‛s April curriculum of Bees (Nursery & Kindergarten) and Insects (Playgroup). The children will get to see numerous specimens and living insects. They will also learn about the food chain and life cycle of the butterfly. The park rangers will be taking us on an intimate learning experience to explore the fascinating world of butterflies and insects. Please complete the consent form for your child‛s participation in this excursion and return the form by Wednesday, 8th April (Wed). The cost of this excursion is $12 per child. On the day of the excursion, please dress your child in our school‛s T-Shirt, wear comfortable walking shoes and cap, bring along a water bottle with a sling and be in school no later than 8.45am.

	8th May, 2009 : Mothers‛ Day Celebration Mummies, your child would like to invite you to school for lunch (11.30am – 12.30pm for half day children) or afternoon tea (3.30pm – 4.30pm for full-day children including BASC) on 8th May (Fri) to show their appreciation and love for you. Please make a note in your dairy (it‛s only an hour off your work day) and further detail will follow.
	Programme & Curriculum Evaluation Form The school wants to be an effective partner in your child‛s development. In order for parents and the school to work hand in hand for the positive development of the child, regular and open communication between the school and parents is important. Please take time to complete the Program & Curriculum Evaluation survey which your child recently brought home. Your feedback, comments and suggestions are most welcomed.
