Kindergarten Singapore: Halifax Montessori Childcare

Dear Parents

Thank you for taking precious time to attend our Concert and Graduation 2010 on the 4th of December 2010. The children and teachers have put in a lot of effort in preparing our first and very own, Halifax musical called "Dream". This musical was choreographed by one of our alumni, Mazie Tan and her mother, our Senior Teacher, Ms Fiona put this dream into reality.

It may seem a very short and simple musical but this drama enacted the friendship amongst the graduating children, their emotions at this specific point of time, which is sadness of parting and uncertainty of the future. While preparing for this concert since September, all the children have learnt about team work and cooperation and many have gained confidence during this process. They took all practices and rehearsals seriously. Some tried very hard to coordinate their steps while others struggled to get their positions right. They all managed to get it in their own ways and we are very proud of them.

As for the teachers, besides teaching the children the songs & dances, they made props, costumes, washed, mended and sorted costumes after every rehearsal. I thank all the teachers and the Laoshis for their dedication and hard work.

On behalf of all the teachers and staff at Halifax Montessori Childcare, I want to congratulate the graduating class of 2010 and their parents. We wish the children all the best for the future, with lots of fun in their future schools and wish that they continue to enjoy learning and growing. Do keep in touch and visit us often.

As for parents of graduating children, we understand the wonderful feeling in witnessing your children achieving an important milestone and moving on to the next lap in life. You have done a great job and you deserve a pat on your back. However, another chapter has just begun and there is more to achieve. At this age, though they are more independent, they will need a lot of understanding, emotional support, and listening ears. I wish you all the best in this journey.
